BlackBerry Athena with SD 660 SoC and Dual-Rear Cameras Listed on TENAA

BlackBerry is working on its next QWERTY keypad smartphone dubbed as BlackBerry Athena. The smartphone was first spotted on GeekBench back in February, through configuration files, and in European device registration databases. Then after, alleged press renders of the upcoming phone surfaced online. Now it has been found listed on the TENAA benchmarking website with the model number BBF100-4.

Unfortunately, the TENAA listing does not contain any hardware information or specifications of the device. However, from the previous leaks, the BlackBerry Athena is expected to be featured a 4.5”(1620 x 1080 pixels) 3:2 display. The smartphone will be powered by a 2.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 octa-core processor coupled with Adreno 512 GPU. It will offer 6GB/ 8GB of RAM along with 64GB/ 128GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 2TB via microSD card.

For photography, the BlackBerry Athena will be featured a dual camera setup at the back with a combination of a 12MP primary camera along with a secondary rear camera with dual-tone LED flash. There will be an 8MP single shooter on the front.

BlackBerry Athena is expected to be fueled by a 3360mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging support. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS / GLONASS, NFC, USB 3.1 Type-C port. It measures 149.3 x 72.5 x 9.4 mm and weighs 180 grams.

Meanwhile, the BlackBerry Athena also leaked in live images. These newly leaked images are inline with what had been revealed earlier.
