Xiaomi has launched the Black Shark 2 Pro gaming smartphone in China. This the top-end version of the Black Shark 2 gaming phone that was launched back in May in India followed by its first debut in China. This is the world’s second smartphone to be powered by the Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 855+ SoC after the Asus ROG Phone 2 that comes first with this SOC. Just like its base variant, the Black Shark 2 Pro will also come with features like the next-gen Liquid Cooling system to keep the heat down while delivering extreme performance, a TrueView display with high refresh rate, and several optional gaming accessories.
Black Shark 2 Pro Specifications
Xiaomi Black Shark 2 Pro shares a lot of specifications with its predecessor. The Black Shark 2 Pro features a 6.39-inch FullHD+ (1080 x 2340 pixels) AMOLED display. Xiaomi has tweaked its display by improving color accuracy and lowering touch latency to 43.5ms for gaming purposes. It also features DC Dimming and a high touch sampling rate of 240Hz.
This device is powered by the latest octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus SoC with a maximum clock speed of 2.96GHz, slightly higher than the 2.84GHz of the Snapdragon 855. The smartphone comes with 12GB of RAM which is coupled with 128GB and 256GB of inbuilt storage.
Apart from this, Xiaomi Black Shark 2 features a dual-camera setup at the back which includes a 48-megapixel primary sensor which is paired with a 13-megapixel secondary sensor. At the front, it houses a 24-megapixel selfie shooter.
Apart from this, this smartphone runs on that latest Android 9.0 Pie with MIUI 10 at the top. Connectivity options on this phone include 4G LTE, dual-SIM slots, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C, and A-GPS with GLONASS. Lastly, this gaming phone is backed up by a 4,000mAh battery with Quick Charge 4.0 technology support.
This gaming smartphone is designed to deliver high-end performance. It sports a vapor chamber cooling system which has been designed to keep the device cool while longer gaming sessions. Xiaomi Black Shark 2 Pro Price and Availability
The Black Shark 2 Pro price has been set competitively at RMB 2,999 (approx Rs 29,900) for the base variant with 12GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The higher-end model with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage is being offered for RMB 3,499 (approx Rs 34,900). The phone will go on sale in China starting from August 2nd.
