Apple will reportedly launch its iPhone SE 2 or iPhone 9 on April 15th, 2020

Apple’s affordable smartphone iPhone SE 2 or iPhone 9 is reported to get launched on April 15th. It will be made available for purchase to customers from April 22nd. It is expected to go official before its WWDC 2020 event.

iPhone 9 is the successor of iPhone 8 or iPhone SE from 2016 and its design will be based upon its predecessor. The price would start allegedly at $349 or $399 thus making it an intriguing new entry in the mid-range price of smartphones.

Although it was expected to get launched on March 31st at an event, it was reportedly canceled due to the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic and its related issues.

The iPhone 9 will be powered by the A13 chipset which is the same SoC that empowers the iPhone 11 series. The phone is expected to have a 4.7” display screen with comparatively less high quality due to the cost-efficiency. This phone with Touch ID will be seen for the first time in the strings for the new CarKey API. The Express Transit is currently available on Apple’s iPhone 6s and others below mentioned iPhones, but it works with power reserve only on iPhone XR, iPhone XS, and iPhone 11 models.

Although looking at the current situation worldwide due to the pandemic, with the release timeframe, Apple might change plans yet again.
