Apple has added the seventh-generation iPod Nano to its Vintage and Obsolete list of products, as per a report by Macrumors. The seventh-gen iPod Nano, the last iPod Nano to be launched, is now officially designated as “vintage”, as it has crossed five years without seeing an update. Along with the iPod Nano, the fifth generation iPod Touch has also been added to the list.
Apple’s vintage product list includes devices that haven’t seen updates for more than five years and less than seven years. Products that cross the seven-year mark are termed “Obsolete”.
Apple launched a refreshed seventh-gen iPod Nano in 2015 with new colours while retaining the same design. The product was discontinued in 2017, as was the iPod Shuffle. The first iPod Nano came out way back in 2005.
