Apple Suspended WatchOS 5.1 Update After Bricked Devices Issues

Along with the new iOS 12.1, the WatchOS 5.1 was also released earlier today. But after a couple of hours of releasing the update, some Apple Watch Series 4 owners are reporting that their Apple Watch has been bricked after updating to watchOS 5.1, getting stuck on the Apple logo. Due to these bricked devices issues, Apple has temporarily suspended the WatchOS 5.1 update.

The WatchOS 5.1 update was set to provide 70-plus new emoji that also came with the iOS 12.1 update, a support for group FaceTime audio, and a new fullscreen color watch face. But some of the device owners has posted their problems in Twitter and Reddit when their device has rendered unusable after installing the new software update.

Some Reddit users even posted a photo of their Apple Watch Series 4 that showing only the Apple logo and does not seem to wake up since installing the update. Some of them even tried to restart their watches and even their handsets paired up with it, but it only produces the same outcome.

Due to the issue being spread up all over the internet, Apple decided to suspend the software update. “Due to a small number of Apple Watch customers experiencing an issue while installing watchOS 5.1 today, we’ve pulled back the software update as a precaution. Any customers impacted should contact AppleCare, but no action is required if the update installed successfully. We are working on a fix for an upcoming software update.”, the company said.

This decision seems to be just right as the Apple Watch series cannot be plugged in into a computer to reinstall the software. The only option now is by contacting Apple for a service. Anyway, the company made an assurance that they are urgently working for the solution about this issue.  So be sure to stay tuned with TechnoCodex and we will bring you all of its latest updates.
