Apple Plans to Launch Standalone AR, VR Gaming Headsets and Glasses


Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality are getting more and more popular day by day as tech-giants have started using these technologies in the development of their new generation tech-devices. Today, Apple has come up with new information on its latest AR and VR Headsets.

According to reports, the company is working on a range of new AR and VR Headsets powered by Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality technologies. The latest Apple devices will be using a new 3D Sensor system.

The company may launch a new iPad Pro that will include two independent cameras on-board. The first module of the camera will be there for the main sensor, while the other module will be featuring the 3D sensor.

The 3D Sensor or Lens will let the users construct a full three-dimensional layout for the rooms, objects etc. Later in the year 2020, the company will be adding the same sensor to iPhones. The new 2020 iPhones will be released with 5G connectivity.

Furthermore, the company’s insider has also talked about future plans for Apple. According to information provided by the insider, the company plans to come up with a new AR and VR powered Headset in the 2021 or 2022. They might reveal the combined technology Headsets in the year 2022. A lightweight AR glasses will also be released in the year 2023.

Apple too had intended to come up with their own AR headset in the year 2019. During the announcement, they had said that they will plan to release them in the year 2020. However, the company has shifted the launch of their new AR and VR powered headsets to 2022 officially.

The company has over 1,000 engineers who are actively working on the development of their new generation AR and VR based Headset and Glasses. So after the launch of the new 2020 iPhones, we will start receiving updates of the new AR and VR Headsets from Apple.
