Once you tap on the notification, you are redirected to the Free Books page in the Apple Books Store. There, you can browse different novels from various genres. You can also go through an extensive collection of audiobooks. Apple Books has dedicated sections for special offers and free books, as well as a “Top Free Chart” for books provided on the service at no charge to the user. You can also select a new book from Apple’s ‘First in a Series, Free’ tab.

Apple has been sending these contents for free as a promotion as people around the world remains in their homes amid the ongoing coronavirus crisis. Starting from March 2020, governments began requesting people to stay at their home to prevent the spread of disease. And so, this is the best time when people want more sources of entertainment.

To meet the demand, app developers and other content producers have stepped up and offered free games and content for consumption by a captive audience. In the same move, Apple is also providing these free-contents to let people spend their time at their home without getting bored!
