Recently launched Samsung smart TVs will be getting the Apple Music app, as announced by both of these companies today. With this expansion, this will be the first time that Apple Music app will be available on any smart TV platform (other than its own Apple TV set-top box, of course).
The Apple Music app looks similar to how it works on Apple TV. This app will allow access to the full range of Apple Music content, including playlists, videos, radio stations, and more to the Samsung Smart TV users.
This is not the first time that any Apple product has been featured on Samsung’s Smart TV. Back in 2019, Samsung allows access to the Apple TV app on its smart TV, becoming the first smart TV company to use Apple TV app. Apart from this, Samsung has already offered support for AirPlay 2 in the past that allows users to stream Apple Music content from another device.
The new app is available starting today on Samsung’s most recent TV models from its 2018, 2019, and 2020 lineups. These are the same smart TV models that already have the Apple TV app support.
