Apple Special Event took place today at Steve Jobs Theater, Cupertino, California, the United States where the company has launched its much-awaited iPhone 11 series smartphones. In addition to smartphones, the company has also announced some subscription services including Apple TV+ Plans and Apple Arcade. Let’s take a closer look at each of them one by one.
Apple TV+ – Plans Revealed
Apple TV+ was launched back in March at Apple Event 2019. But at that time, the plans and subscriptions of the Apple TV+ were not revealed by the company. This time, Tim Cook has revealed the price and availability of the Apple TV+.
Apple TV+ will be available in over 100 countries at launch starting November 1, and it’ll be priced at $4.99 per month for a family subscription. You get one year of Apple TV+ for free if you purchase an iPhone, iPad, Mac, or an Apple TV starting today, Cook said.
Apple Arcade – Games Subscription Service
Apple has also announced Apple Arcade – Games subscription service for iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple TV that will be made available via App Store. This subscription will feature a bunch of new top-end games including Konami’s Frogger, Shensekai: Into the Depths, Sayonara Wild Hearts, and many more.
Tim Cook said that the App Store will be updated with a dedicated Arcade tab which will show information on the latest games. Apple Arcade will be available starting on September 19 in 115 countries. 100 new games will be released in the launch catalog of Apple Arcade. It will cost $4.99/month for the whole family including a 1-month free trial.
