Apple Buys Asthma Monitoring Start-up for Children

The technology trend is rapidly changing and more and more start-ups are now acquired by the big giants. Apple has recently acquired a small-startup to extend its health apps line-up. As per the latest reports, the company has acquired a start-up named Tueo Health which is an app to track Asthma in Children.

This Small Start-up is currently working on an app to monitor Asthma Symptoms in Children. The app is specially designed for Parents who are concerned about their Children’s health. Many reports have come out after this acquisition of Apple regarding the specifications and further details on this app.

Tueo is developing a mobile app with the use of compatible commercial breathing sensors to sense how the kids are breathing and detect Asthma Symptoms at the earliest. In the case of an emergency, the app will send a notification and a warning message to the screen.

Apparently, there’s no official confirmation available at this moment by Apple’s CEO Tim Cook. However, Tim has recently confirmed that they have bought a small start-up in the last weeks with no further details. This clearly means that the company has acquired this innovative app for the Health conscious people out there.

Tueo Health’s CEO and other employees have changed their Profiles on LinkedIn with Apple this means, they are now the employees of Apple.

Well, the actual contract is not disclosed by any insiders yet and we are not aware of the actual pricing of this deal made by Apple. Upon hearing the news about the acquisition, Apple’s Spokesperson has denied commenting on it.

Apple is focusing more on its wearables i.e. Apple Watch and for that reason, the company is looking for such innovative start-ups who can offer extra-ordinary features and functions within its Apple Watch compatible app. This app will work on your iOS devices as well as on your Apple Watch smartwatch also.

Apple has recently added a new electrocardiogram to the latest edition of its Apple Watch to keep an eye on the User’s heart rate. The company will add more of such health-related features in the coming weeks.
