Google has introduced something called sound notification on Android phones which can detect certain sounds and alert you as well. When Sound Notification is turned on, your Android phone will automatically keep a check on surrounding noise and will alert if something important is happening. For example, if you are wearing headphones and someone knocks on the door, with the help of Sound Notifications, you will get an alert on your phone and as well as on WearOS-powered smartwatch. Also, if you have a pet dog, the your phone will alert the moment it hears it bark.
Google can enable Android phones to detect 10 types of sound which include: Smoke and fire alarms, Siren, Shouting, Baby sounds, Doorbell ringing, Knocking, Dog barking , Appliance beeping, Water running and Landline phone ringing.

The Sound Notifications feature is available on Pixel phones along with “select other Android phones”. You can use Google’s Live Transcribe app to get similar results. The main objective of this feature is to allow people who are hard of hearing to be aware of their surroundings. Also, if you love to use headphones all the time then this feature will also come handy.
How to use this new feature:
-Download Live Transcribe & Sound Notifications. If you have a Pixel phone then you need not do this.
-Open your device’s Settings app to turn on Sound Notifications
Tap Accessibility, then tap Sound Notifications.
Tap Open Sound Notifications.
To accept the permissions, tap OK.
You can also change your Sound Notifications shortcut. To start Sound Notifications, use your Sound Notifications shortcut (2-finger swipe up, or tap the Accessibility button).
