Android Nougat 7.1.1 for Nokia 3 Finally Rolled out

As promised by HMD Nougat 7.1.1 update is finally rolled out for Nokia 3. The Nokia 3 was originally launched this year with Nougat 7.0, but Nokia promised an update to the newer Android 7.1.1 by the end of August.

As per a post of HMD’s chief product officer, Juho Sarvikas on his official twitter handle the update suppose to arrive by the end of August, but we haven’t seen any update for the device. But now Nokia 3 is finally getting Nougat 7.1.1 update globally. The update is around 750MB in size and is being rolled out via OTA.

The new update brings enhancement of user interface and new features including ‘app shortcuts’ which allow users to quickly access their favorite app by long pressing the app icon, GIFs can directly from Google Allo, Google Messenger and Hangouts etc within their keyboards. Further more the new update brings bug fixes and stability improvements to the smartphone.

As the OTA update is sized around 750 so we suggest you to charge your phone at least 50 percent and 2GB of free space available to run the update smoothly. As is usually the case with OTA roll outs, it may take time for the update to hit your device. So be patient and keep an eye on your notification. Meanwhile you can also manually check for the update by going to Settings ->About Phone -> Software Update.
