AMD Ryzen 5000 series desktop processors which were launched last month globally have now aarrived in India. Based on the latest Zen 3 architecture, the new lineup offers up to 16 core and 32 threads with up to 72MB cache memory in its top-of-the-line AMD Ryzen 9 5950X SKU. The new AMD processors in India include AMD Ryzen 9 5950X, Ryzen9 5900X, Ryzen7 5800X and Ryzen5 5600X desktop processors. The company claims these to be the fastest gaming CPUs delivering up to a 26 percent generational uplift in gaming performance.
The company mentioned that AMD 500 series motherboards are ready for AMD Ryzen 5000 Series desktop processors today with a simple BIOS update. This broad ecosystem support includes more than 100 AMD 500 series motherboards from all major motherboard manufacturers. Support for AMD 400 series motherboards will be coming from partners by January 2021.
The AMD Ryzen 5 5600X is priced at Rs 22, 990, the AMD Ryzen 7 5800X at Rs 34, 490, Ryzen 9 5900X at Rs 41, 990 and the Ryzen 9 5950X at Rs 60, 990.
AMD says that its AMD Ryzen 9 5950X SKU offers up to 26% better gaming performance and comes with unified 8 core complex with direct access to 32MB L3 cache. Also, the Zen 3 core architecture offers a 19% better performance in instruction per cycle (IPC).
According to the company, the Ryzen 5000 series processors is designed to offer better gaming and content creation performance and the new Zen 2 coree reduces latency from from accelerated core and cache communication and doubles the directly accessible L3 cache per core while delivering up to 2.8X more performance-per-watt in comparison to the competition.
