Latest Samsung Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra updates
August 11, 2023: The August security update is now available for the Galaxy Note series. Each model will receive a different firmware version. The Galaxy Note 20 will get N981USQS5HWG8, while the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra will receive N986USQS5HWG8. This patch solely includes fixes for security vulnerabilities and does not introduce any new features, as reported by Droid Life.

- June 8, 2023: Samsung Galaxy Note 20 devices have begun receiving the June 2023 Android security patch (as reported by SamMobile). Firmware version N98xU1UES4HWE1 comes with fixes for multiple software vulnerabilities. Unfortunately, no new features were included in this update.
- May 5, 2023: The May 2023 Android security patch is now rolling out to Samsung Galaxy Note 20 devices worldwide. This patch is accompanied by firmware versions N98xFXXS6HWE1 and N98xBXXS6HWE2, addressing over 70 security flaws.
- April 7, 2023: Expect to see the April 2023 security patch on your Galaxy Note 20 phone soon. As reported by SamMobile, Samsung has initiated the update rollout in select countries. With fixes for over 60 vulnerabilities, this patch, unfortunately, does not introduce any new features.
- March 15, 2023: Galaxy Note 20 devices have started receiving the March 2023 security patch (according to SamMobile). This update primarily consists of the security patch and various bug fixes, without any new features like the previous month’s major update.

- February 6, 2023: Carrier-unlocked variants of the Galaxy Note 20 in the US are receiving the February security update (reported by SamMobile).
