Alcatel 7 Launched with Dual Rear Cameras: Price, Specifications and More

Alcatel has today launched its latest mid-range smartphone – The Alcatel 7, in the U.S. The main highlights of the smartphone are FHD+ 18:9 display, dual rear cameras, and a big 4000mAh battery. There is also an Alcatel-exclusive preinstalled app called CloserTV that brings online streaming and cable TV in one place.

The Alcatel 7 comes with the price tag of $179.99 (Rs. 12,580 approx.) and is exclusively available to purchase from MetroPCS in the U.S. starting today.

Alcatel 7 Specifications

The Alcatel 7 runs on Android 8.1 Oreo operating system and sports a 6.0” FHD+ (2160×1080 pixels) 18:9 IPS display with 2.5D curved glass on top. The smartphone is powered by a 2.5GHz MediaTek Helio P23 octa-core processor coupled with Mali G71 MP2 GPU. It offers 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card.

For photography, the Alcatel 7 comes equipped with a dual rear camera setup with a combination of a 12MP primary and 2MP secondary sensor to capture depth information for portrait shots. On the front, it has an 8MP shooter for selfies and video calls. The front camera also equipped with facial recognition technology called  FACE KEY, to unlock the device.

The Alcatel 7  is fuelled by a 4000mAh battery which is claimed to “handle up to 28 hours of talk time and 10.5 hours of video streaming” on a single charge. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS. There is also a fingerprint scanner at the back. It measures 162x 76x 8.05mm and weighs 155 grams.
