Alcatel 1x Android Go Smartphone with 5.34” 18:9 Display Announced in India


Alcatel has announced its first ever Android Go smartphone the Alcatel 1x at MWC 2018. Now, the company has announced that Alcatel 1x Android Go Smartphone in the Indian market. The company has said that it plans to launch the phone in India soon. However, there are no words on the price of the phone yet.

The Alcatel X1 is the only Android Go smartphone to feature an 18:9 display. Apart from that, the Alcatel 1x offers moderate specifications as seen on other Android Go devices. The phone was unveiled at MWC 2018 with a price tag of 99 euros so we the Alcatel 1x to be priced around Rs. 6,000 in India.

Talking about specifications, the Alcatel 1x runs on the latest Android 8.1 Oreo (Go Edition) operating system and sports a  5.3”  FWVGA+ ( 960 x 480 pixels) display with 18:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone is powered by MediaTek MT6739 quad-core processor coupled with PowerVR Rogue GE8100 GPU. It offers 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage which can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card.

In terms of photography, the Alcatel 1x offers the best camera configuration among all Android Go devices. It comes equipped with a 13MP rear-facing camera and an 8MP camera on the front. Both the front and rear cameras come accompanied by a LED flash. The rear camera supports full HD video shooting and comes with support for Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS). The front-facing camera also comes with face recognition functionality named Face Key.

The Alcatel 1x is fueled by a 2,460mAh battery. Connectivity options include Dual-SIM support, 4G with VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, and MicroUSB 2.0 port. It measures 147.5 x 70.6 x 9.15 mm and weighs 151 grams.
