Acer Nitro 5 and Swift 3 Laptops are now powered by AMD Ryzen Processor

Acer has made some fine refinements in two of its notebooks. The company has updated its Acer Nitro 5 Gaming laptop and Swift 3 with AMD Ryzen Processors. Previously, both of these laptops were running on Intel’s processor, but now the company has moved on to the second-generation Ryzen processors.

The Acer Nitro 5 is now powered by a 2.3GHz quad-core Ryzen 7 3750H and dedicated Radeon RX 560X graphics to offer a moderate gaming experience. While the Acer Swift 3 laptop geared up with 2.3GHz quad-core Ryzen 7 3700U and defaults to integrated Vega graphics. The Swift 3 laptop also comes with Radeon RX 540X graphics as a separate model.

Apart from the CPU changes, there are no more refinements made in both of these laptops. The Nitro 5 still comes with a 15.6-inch FullHD display, slim body and CoolBoost technology to cool down the hardware while intense gaming. While on the other hand, the Swift 3 comes with a 14-inch 1080p display with a 180-degree folding hinge. It’s also quite slim and lightweight measures just 0.71-inch thickness and 3.2-pound weight.

As far as the availability of the AMD models of these laptops is concerned, the company didn’t unveil an exact date of availability and its pricing. Only this much of details has been shared by Acer, but we expect to have some more details on the pricing and release dates in coming weeks.
