A Pokemon Go-Style Dragon Quest Walk Announced for Smartphones by Square Enix

Pokemon Go is undoubtedly the most popular AR-based game which is widely available for Android and iOS smartphone platforms. If you got bored by playing the same game again and again, then the Square Enix has introduced something new to you. The new Dragon Quest Walk game is just announced by Square Enix.

The new Dragon Quest Walk is a Pokemon Go-style AR-based game which has been announced for both, Android and iOS smartphone platforms. If you are a pro-gamer and love to play exciting and realistic games on your smartphones, then the new Dragon Quest Walk is here.

The game is developed by Colopl and due out in 2019 in Japan. Initially, the developers will release this game as its beta closed version which will be available to a few users only. According to officials, 10,000 users of Android, and 10,000 users of iOS devices will get a chance to explore this new game on their respective devices as its beta closed edition.

The beta closed edition will begin from the coming June 11. The officials have not spoken much about this game as of now. All they have stated is that the game will be released first as a beta closed version for testing purposes. They will pick the above mentioned number of users for both, Android and iOS smartphone platforms.

The aim behind releasing the beta edition of this game is just to release a bug-free stable version to the public. We have seen many games which receive negative feedback and at the end, they do not perform well in the industry.

To keep things secured and stable for the users, they will release a testing edition for a limited number of users of Android and iOS smartphones.

They have released an official Teaser Trailer of the game. As you can see in the official video, it will be a location-based game which will be powered by Augmented Reality. The game will put monsters of the game to the real world and you have to play around with them.

As mentioned above, the game will be released first in Japan this year. There is no information on whether the same will be made available to other regions or not. We will hear more about this game from the officials in the coming weeks.
