Despite its size, the new Air is still highly portable, weighing a reasonably lightweight 1.3kgs. This is in contrast with the 16-inch MacBook Pro, which weighs in at a less backpack-friendly 2.16kg. Additionally, it is just 11.5mm thin, making it an ideal candidate to pop in your bag.
Under its aluminum shell, the new Air is powered by Apple’s latest M2 silicon, which makes it suitable for handling tasks such as 4K video editing, photo retouching, and responding to endless emails. In fact, it is approximately 12 times faster than the best Intel-powered devices. The other features include an impressive webcam, MagSafe charging, two USB-C ports, and a battery life of up to 18 hours. It will come in several colors, including Midnight and Starlight, and will be available for purchase later this month. Pricing in the UK will soon be announced, but in the United States, it will cost $1,299 and can be ordered today.
