Destiny 2: Titan Behemoth Build Guide

Destiny 2: Titan Behemoth Build Guide

There are countless builds that players can create in Destiny 2, and the number only seems to be getting bigger. As new subclasses and abilities come out, there are more and more opportunities to fine-tweak your Guardian to be as powerful as you want it to be.

RELATED: Destiny 2: Hunter Revenant Build Guide

One such build is the Behemoth, a Titan-specific Stasis subclass, which can utilize the power of Darkness to slow enemies to a halt and then wipe them all out in the blink of an eye. With the right abilities equipped, along with the right weapons and armor, this Titan will be a devastating force in PvE, while also being rock solid in PvP.

Best Abilities & Stats For Behemoth

With a Titan Behemoth, your Super ability is going to be the Glacial Quake. This Super ability is gives your Titan a gauntlet of Stasis, which you can wield to do devastating damage to your enemies. Your light attack will supercharge your Shiver Strike melee, while your heavy attack will have you slam your gauntlet into the ground to send out shockwaves of ice that freeze enemies.

In terms of your Class Abilities, the best way to get the most out of your Titan Behemoth is to choose the following:

Ability

Ability Description

Glacial Grenade

This grenade will create a wall of Stasis which can trap enemies inside of it. When you shatter the wall, you deal a good amount of damage.

Rally Barricade

The Rally Barricade will give you a small barricade wall that you can crouch behind for cover and peek out of to shoot at enemies. While taking cover behind the wall, you will have increased reload speed, stability and range.

Shiver Strike

This melee ability gives you the ability to leap into the air when you hold the button. When you release the button, you perform a strong dash attack.

Strafe Lift

This ability gives you more control when you are jumping, which can be a life-saver in a battle.

In addition to these abilities, you will also want to improve your Resilience and Intelligence to Tier 10 each. These will improve the damage you can take and the cooldown time of your Super, respectively. You can also put some improvement into your Recovery to help with the speed at which you recover health.

Best Stasis Aspects For Behemoth

Destiny 2 Aspect Quests Screen with Exo Stranger

With the basis of your build laid down, it’s time to move onto the Aspects, which are specific to Stasis subclasses. These will help give you more active and passive abilities to help you on the battlefield. You can only equip two Aspects at a time, and the ones that are best for the Behemoth build are:

Stasis Aspect

Stasis Aspect Description

Diamond Lance

When you defeat an enemy using Stasis abilities, you are given a Stasis Lance, which you can then throw at enemies to freeze them, or you can slam it down to freeze enemies around you.

Tectonic Harvest

When you shatter a Stasis Crystal, you create a Stasis Shard, which grants melee energy to players or allies when picked up.

These two aspects can be unlocked after completing quests for the Exo Stranger on Europa.

Best Stasis Fragments For Behemoth

Destiny 2 Fragments Screen with Exo Stranger

Fragments, much like Aspects, are unlocked through working with the Exo Stranger and provide even more modifications to your Guardian to help boost your Behemoth. There are 14 total Fragments that you can use with Stasis; however, there are only 5 that are recommended for this build:

Stasis Fragment

Stasis Fragment Description

Whisper of Chains

When near frozen enemies or a friendly Stasis Crystal, you take less damage.

Whisper of Fissures

When you destroy a Stasis Crystal or defeat a frozen enemy, the damage and size of Stasis Burst is increased.

Whisper of Refraction

Defeating a frozen or slowed enemy will grant you class ability energy.

Whisper of Rime

You can collect Stasis Shards to grant a small amount of Overshield for 10 seconds. Collecting more Shards will add more Overshield and reset the timer.

Whisper of Shards

When you shatter a Stasis Crystal, you temporarily increase your grenade recharge rate.

Best Armor & Mods For Behemoth

Destiny 2 Hoarfrost-Z Armor on Guardian

It’s time to choose which armor you are going to wear. The best pieces of armor in the game grant you certain abilities, so choosing the right piece to wear is huge. Luckily, there is only one piece of specific armor that you really need for this build, and the rest is down to the Armor Mods you use.

The piece of armor you are looking for is the Hoarfrost-Z Exotic armor. This piece of armor will boost your Barricade ability to slow down enemies near it, while also giving you and your allies an increase in reload speed, stability, and range. You can find this Chest Armor by completing Solo Legendary or Master Lost Sectors. These can only be accessed once you have reached Power Level 1800 and also have completed the Lost Sector normally. Make sure you are playing as a Titan in order to be rewarded this armor, and hope that the RNG is on your side.

Of course, you want to make sure that you have the right Armor Mods equipped to help bring your build to its peak as well. These are the mods that will best help you:

Armor Mod

Armor Mod Description

Bomber

When using a class ability, your grenade cooldown is reduced.

Elemental Charge

When you pick up an Elemental Well, you become Charged with Light. And if the well is the same as your Subclass type, then you receive two stacks of Charged with Light.

Elemental Shards

Stasis Shards count as Stasis Elemental Wells.

Elemental Time Dilation

You can stack time-limited Elemental Well mods.

Font of Might

If you pick up an Elemental Well that matches your Subclass, you are granted a temporary boost to weapon damage of that Elemental type.

High-Energy Fire

When you are Charged with Light, you are given a boost to weapon damage.

Innervation

Your grenade cooldown is reduced when you pick up an Orb of Power.

Best Weapons For Behemoth

Destyin 2 Raconteur Bow Screen

Finally, a Guardian is only as good as the weapons they carry with them. While there isn’t a specific weapon that you should be hunting for, there is a specific perk: Headstone. Any weapons that roll with Headstone gives you the ability to spawn a Stasis Crystal at an enemy’s death location when you defeat them with a Precision Final Blow. On its own, this perk isn’t the best; when you use it with everything else in this build, it becomes much more useful.

If you are looking for the best weapon that can use Headstone, then go for the Raconteur bow. Introduced in Season of Defiance. It can be unlocked by focusing a roll at the War Table for it. You will be able to craft it, also, after completing five Deepsight rolls of it. Even though we have long left Season of Defiance behind us, we can still craft the weapons from it through these methods.
