Lastly, let me answer some frequently asked questions about Quordle.

What is Quordle?
Quordle presents you with four puzzles to solve, as opposed to Wordle’s single five-letter word challenge. You solve these puzzles simultaneously rather than in sequence. You get nine guesses, compared to Wordle’s six, but the rules are largely the same. You can play Quordle online through the Quordle website or via Merriam-Webster’s site since they acquired Quordle last year. Just like Wordle, the answers are the same for all players each day, so you’re competing against players from around the world. The puzzle resets at midnight, offering you a fresh challenge every day. The website also includes a practice mode, which I highly recommend using, and tracks daily statistics, including streak counts. Additionally, you can earn Quordle Achievements for achieving specific milestones in the game. But fair warning, Quordle is exceptionally difficult.

What are the Quordle rules?
The rules of Quordle closely resemble those of Wordle. Here’s a breakdown:

1. Letters that are in the right place and in the answer turn green.
2. Letters that are in the answer but in the wrong place turn yellow.
3. Letters that are not in the answer turn gray.
4. However, the word you guess appears in all quadrants of the puzzle simultaneously. This means that a single letter can turn green in one square and yellow or gray in another.
5. Answers should not be plural.
6. Letters can appear multiple times, so duplicates can turn both green and yellow or green and green, or any combination.
7. Each guess must be a valid word in Quordle’s dictionary.
8. Subsequent guesses do not have to include correct letters, and there is no equivalent of Wordle’s Hard mode.
9. You have nine guesses to find the Quordle answers.
10. You must complete the daily Quordle puzzle before midnight in your timezone.

What is a good Quordle strategy?
To tackle Quordle successfully, you need a different approach compared to Wordle. With four puzzles to solve and limited guesses, blind guessing won’t cut it. A strategic mindset is crucial. Here are two key strategies:

1. Use multiple starting words: Rather than relying on a single starting word, opt for two or three strong starting words. Start with one of the best Wordle starting words, as they usually work well in Quordle too. Then, select another word or two that use up more of the common consonants and include any remaining vowels. For example, my current starting words are STARE > DOILY > PUNCH. These three words cover 15 of the 26 letters, including all five vowels, Y, and nine common consonants (S, T, R, D, L, P, N, C, and H). You can explore other options, such as adding an M, B, F, or G instead of H. This approach should give you a strong foundation to identify one or two of the answers.
2. Narrow down your options: If you come across… [content truncated]
