8 Ways Sonya Falsworth and G’iah Can Return to the MCU After ‘Secret Invasion’

Secret Invasion has given us two exciting new additions to the MCU, Olivia Colman and Emilia Clarke, who have fans eagerly anticipating their future in the Marvel universe. While their characters, SIS chief Sonya Falsworth and Talos’ daughter G’iah, are original creations for the screen, there are several ways they could make a return to the ever-growing multiverse of Marvel.

One possibility is that G’iah could appear in the sequel to The Marvels. With her newfound abilities similar to Carol Danvers, it would be thrilling to see her face off against Captain Marvel herself. However, it’s uncertain if G’iah has surpassed Captain Marvel as the most powerful character in the MCU.

Another potential avenue for Emilia Clarke and Olivia Colman is the Armor Wars series. While their characters didn’t interact with Rhodey in Secret Invasion, they could form a bond due to the Skrull invasion’s impact on their lives. Sonya, with her radar for threats caused by Stark technology, could team up with G’iah to tackle a new challenge.

Kit Harington’s character, Dan Whitman (Black Knight), has faced uncertainties in the MCU. However, if Black Knight were to have his own solo series, it’s possible that Sonya and G’iah could recruit him for their cause, creating an unexpected duo.

There is speculation that Emilia Clarke’s character, G’iah, could become a villain, mirroring the original Super-Skrull from the comics, who is known to be a formidable enemy of the Fantastic Four. G’iah could potentially be the antagonist in the Fantastic Four reboot, while Sonya (played by Olivia Colman) could make a cameo to explain G’iah’s transformation and help the Fantastic Four stop her.

G’iah’s power boost from the Avengers makes her a strong candidate for A-Force membership, an all-female Avengers team that may be introduced in the future. Similarly, Sonya Falsworth could serve as the female Fury-like figure in the team.

If Marvel wants to include G’iah in a British superhero team, Excalibur would be a fitting choice. G’iah could become a founding member of Excalibur, which often includes mutant characters. As mutants are gradually being introduced to the MCU, G’iah would be a perfect addition to an Excalibur lineup before the arrival of the X-Men.

Alternatively, G’iah could join MI-13, the British government’s spy network responsible for investigating extranormal phenomena, similar to The X-Files. As a super-powered spy, G’iah would fit right in, and Sonya Falsworth would be a natural choice as the team’s leader. Additionally, the presence of Black Knight and Blade in the comics opens up possibilities for crossovers.

Marvel has shown no interest in bringing Captain Britain, Brian Braddock, to the MCU. However, a unique idea is to have G’iah become Earth-616’s version of Captain Britain. Betsy Braddock, Brian’s sister (also known as Psylocke), has taken on the mantle of Captain Britain in the comics. G’iah could rise up as the surprise chosen one and become the U.K.’s own hero in the MCU.

Overall, the possibilities for Olivia Colman and Emilia Clarke’s characters in the MCU are vast and exciting. Whether they appear in The Marvels, Armor Wars, Black Knight’s solo project, the Fantastic Four reboot, A-Force, Excalibur, MI-13, or as Earth-616’s Captain Britain, fans can look forward to their future contributions to the Marvel universe.
